Police officer application process
The current HIOWC Police Constable recruitment process has four selection stages, followed by a conditional offer and pre-appointment checks.
- Application
Complete the application linked from the open vacancy. Your application creates your recruitment case and confirms the information needed to assess entry to the process.
- Online sift
Complete the approved online sift for the campaign. Instructions and the deadline are provided through your applicant account.
- Online assessment
Complete the assessment exercises assigned to the campaign. The process records the exercises, assessors, results and any moderation required.
- HIOWC force interview
Attend a structured interview with the force. The panel, questions, assessment, outcome and feedback are recorded in your recruitment case.
Conditional offer and checks
If you pass the required selection stages, Recruitment can make a conditional offer and begin the pre-appointment checks required by the vacancy. Appointment is confirmed only when the checks and appointment decision are complete.
